Underwater Instrumentation

As an oceanographer by training, I specialize in end-to-end development of underwater optical systems. These tools span custom underwater optics, embedded camera systems, and image-processing pipelines that cover various fields of aquatic research — ranging from zooplankton ecology to flow measurements with particle tracking.

Applications of Image Processing and AI

Extending beyond marine environments, I apply my expertise in artificial intelligence and image processing to solve complex, cross-disciplinary challenges. My technical contributions range from designing transformer–DNN hybrid models that predict antiviral activity from molecular SMILES strings, to engineering automated image analysis pipelines that quantify cellular metabolism in adipose tissue.
